I was invited to try the Beta Exam 71-510 Team Foundation Server.
Early this morning, i took the exam, these are my feedbacks:
- Nothing related to test, developer, & architect editions
- Too much XML configuration questions, focus on attribute names, node order & hierarchy
- Too much command line executables, focus on argument names, argument values, switches
- Easy server deployment questions
- Extra focus on using custom tasks in build types
- Easy Source Control Questions
- Enough focus on Branching & Merge
- Enough focus on process template customization especially on work item
- Poor exhibition, & no interactive tools
I think candidates should focus on what ever published in preparation guides in Microsoft Site & they will pass.
If you are attending this exam soon, don't expect to get the score immediately. Beta Exam results are published after the final release of the exam.
Finally, I was expecting from Microsoft, an interactive & rich exam, specially for platform like TFS, but … they let me down :)
Good luck for all !
